HighLevel Free Trial: 14 Days vs 30 Days Explained
Search for a HighLevel free trial and you'll see both 14 days and 30 days. Both are real, but they come from different places. Here's what HighLevel's own pages say, what you can be charged during a trial, and how to use the time well.
Quick take:
- HighLevel's pricing page offers a free 14-day trial on any plan: Starter, Unlimited or Founder.
- Some promotional pages on HighLevel's own site offer 30 days instead.
- On any trial, billing starts automatically when it ends unless you cancel, and usage fees (phone, text, email, AI) can apply during the trial.
The standard trial: 14 days on any plan
HighLevel's pricing page says: "Start with a FREE 14-day trial on any plan below!" Its FAQ adds that the trial gives "full access to the features of your chosen tier," so you can set up your account, build funnels and test automations.
The 14-day trial applies to all three standard plans:
| Plan | After the trial (monthly) | Annual option |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97/month | $970/year |
| Unlimited | $297/month | $2,970/year |
| Founder | $497/month | $4,970/year |

Why you'll also see 30-day offers
HighLevel runs promotional pages on its own site with a longer trial. For example, its bootcamp page says: "It's free for 30 days and you can cancel anytime without being charged the subscription cost." Another partner page on HighLevel's site describes its 30 days as special and says "HighLevel usually only has a 14-day trial."
So both lengths exist, but 30 days is a promotional offer, not the default. We link only to HighLevel's standard plans, and we don't offer an extended trial.
What you can be charged during a trial
The trial covers the subscription, not usage. HighLevel's pricing page says "usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial," and its bootcamp page says "communication surcharges may apply during the trial period."
Things that can cost money during a trial:
- Phone numbers, calls and text messages (HighLevel says LC Phone pricing matches Twilio's)
- Email sending (HighLevel lists $0.675 per 1,000 emails)
- AI usage beyond any free allowance, and paid AI agents such as Conversation AI or Voice AI
- Optional add-ons you switch on
These come out of your agency wallet, which HighLevel refills from your card when it falls below your minimum balance.
When billing starts
HighLevel's pricing page says: "Billing begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled." HighLevel also says plans are month to month with no long-term contract, and you can cancel from your dashboard.
Tip: put a reminder in your calendar two or three days before the trial ends, whatever its length.
How to get the most from 14 days
A practical order of work for a new agency account:
- Days 1–2: set up your agency profile and one test sub-account. Connect a domain and email.
- Days 3–5: build one real funnel or website and one booking calendar.
- Days 6–8: build your core workflows (new-lead follow-up, appointment reminders, review requests).
- Days 9–11: if you plan to text, start A2P 10DLC registration early. Carrier review takes time.
- Days 12–14: decide on a plan, and check your wallet transactions so you know what usage cost.
The prompts and setup checklist in our free download can help with steps 3 and 4.
Cancelling before the trial ends
HighLevel's pricing FAQ says you can "upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your account at any time directly from your dashboard." Cancel before the trial ends if you don't want to be billed for the subscription.
